COMMERCIAL BROADLOOM CARPET
Carpet that is manufactured into the form of a roll is generally referred to as broadloom carpet. Typically, broadloom carpet is manufactured into a standard width of 3.6m wide but is also available in 2m or 4m wide rolls.
Commercial Carpet is usually wool, wool blend or solution dyed nylon fibres that are most commonly in the form of a loop pile. A loop pile carpet consists of strands of fibres that are woven in and out of the primary backing of the carpet, adding strength and increasing durability.
Broadloom Carpet will give a more open feel to a space, can be laid on carpet underlay for added comfort and is available in a huge range on colours, textures and designs. See some of our range below
There are different options of installation method for broadloom carpet including;
- Direct Stick – As implied, the carpet is adhered direct to the sub floor – For large, high traffic areas where comfort underfoot isn’t a concern.
- Conventional Lay – The carpet is installed on a commercial carpet underlay and stretched tight to perimeter. Best in medium traffic, smaller sized areas where added comfort is required.
- Dual Bond – The carpet is installed on carpet underlay, though rather than being stretched tight, both the carpet and suitable commercial underlay are adhered together to the sub floor. Best in high traffic areas where added comfort is required.
