High traffic areas, rooms or walkways will generally experience higher levels of wear and tear, so you may notice changes in your carpet in these spots or areas earlier than other areas. Carpet pile refers to the height and density of your carpet fibres. Low pile carpet has short fibres that look and feel flat and dense. High pile carpet is higher and loser. 

We recommend low pile carpets for rooms with heavy foot traffic like stairs, some bedrooms and hallways.

High pile carpets are great for rooms where you want to experience the ultimate plush feeling, like living rooms, media rooms, parent retreats and so on.

Regularly rotating heavy furniture in your rooms can help you avoid carpet indentations. If you have furniture (like a bed or couch) that doesn’t move, it can be hard to avoid any permanent indentations. 

Once your flooring has been installed, you are ok to put your furniture back into your space, so don’t worry about waiting. This won’t make a difference for carpet indentations.
